Whether a spacious Armrest Chair 01, a compact Petit Rond Chair with a leather seat, or a Folding Flat Chair stored at 4cm wide, FRAMA seating is designed for real living spaces and hospitality. The flexibility designed into FRAMA chairs, stools, and benches means there is always room for one more.
Chair 01 and its family have become synonymous with FRAMA's design ideals, and with fundamental seating. Following the design of the 01 Chair, the Easy Chair 01, Low Stool 01, Bench 01, and Stool 01 have expanded and reinterpreted this design vocabulary into a series that now answers to the needs of various spatial contexts.
FRAMA’s 01 Series pays tribute to multi-functionality, natural materials, and the design’s honest simplicity. With its distinct aesthetic and sturdy frame, each piece responds to and complements its environment: a design that somehow occupies both a front and back seat in the space it occupies. Since its initial site-specific design for a new restaurant in 2018, Chair 01 has been used as an accent chair that highlights its visual balance; as a stackable solution to high volume environments; as a dining chair chosen to last; high up at bar height; and with custom-fit cushions in seating areas that give space to the utmost in leisure.
In Warm Brown Birch or Dark Brown Birch, warm contemporary wooden tones and elegant, timeless depth are each available—and complementary to one another, too.
As a visual balance to interiors with many wood tones, stainless steel enters the FRAMA seating universe in several finishes. In brushed stainless steel, Petit Rond Chair and Stool even offer ease of use outdoors, and introduce a level of comfort that exceeds the expectations for their small size and metal frame. Their petite forms are easy to maneuver, and don’t take up much space in use or when stacked to store. Designed with architectural and human considerations in mind through a discursive process, it strikes a welcome balance between character and function in its petite, stackable form.
Available in brushed stainless steel as well as with a natural leather seat, and with a zebra fabric that marks the first introduction of pattern to the FRAMA seating universe. With a leather or fabric seat added the chair should not be left outdoors—with proper care indoors, the leather addition will develop a graceful patina over time.
