Introducing: Atelier Collection
Inspired by traditional, box-formed seating silhouettes, FRAMA’s new Atelier Collection of furniture was created to inspire spatial serenity through the use of simple geometries and warm natural materials.
Designed in the tradition of the early Danish modernists, the encased forms of both The Atelier Chair and The Atelier Couch stand as physical capsules in space that are meant to inspire conversation as well as moments of personal reflection.
The Atelier Collection has been crafted with high-quality spruce sourced from responsibly-managed forests. The furniture is available in three naturally-oiled finishes: natural, dark, and terracotta.
Additionally, the furniture can be treated with a special sandblasting technique that creates an elevated physicality on the wood’s surface and creates a distinctly tactile textural expression. The bold wooden surfaces of these two furniture pieces invite countless functional and styling options. Both The Atelier Chair and The Atelier Couch can be placed in a freestanding context or against a wall, either individually or grouped together to create a conversation-inspiring environment. Upon request, both pieces can be built to meet custom, site-specific dimensions and configurations.
‘Taking inspiration from Kaare Klint – the father of Danish Design – we wanted to create our own interpretation of box-formed seating,’ says Niels Strøyer Christophersen, Creative Director and Founder of FRAMA, ‘and by focusing on simple lines and the purity of natural materials, we believe that The Atelier Chair and Couch are the perfect intimate spaces for study and reflection.’
